Since the age of 7 Mark Morisseau has carried on his family’s long tradition of musicianship. Manitoba’s multi-award-winning fiddler has a catalog of songs and albums that basically defines fiddle music in western Canada. Drawing on his Metis roots, Mark has taught musicians like Sierra Noble and the Gaudry Boys and played with Doc Walker.

Mark and his band are now a Friday night tradition at the Carberry Heritage Festival providing music for the old-time dance in the community hall. The dance is no alcohol. Lunch will be served. Tickets are $15. To reserve your tickets call 204-834-6613. Dance starts at 7:00 Friday August 7, 2015.

Watch Mark perform a fiddle medley live.
